Production Manager
This person will be directly involved in the production of our products and should have a background in either the food or baking industries. Our Production Manager will be responsible for fulfilling the production schedules of all of our food based products and managing this production team. As such, proven leadership skills are essential along with the ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment. You excel when facing goal driven challenges and feel rewarded in fulfilling important targets and timelines. Food Safe level 1 is necessary for this positions. Wages will depend on experience. The successful applicants will have to feel comfortable signing an Employee Confidentiality Agreement.

Production Team
We are looking for people eager to work in production positions with our company. Work will involve the finish packaging and labeling of such products as our line of organic and fair trade chocolate bars, hot chocolate, sugar, coffee and spices. Experience in the food industry is beneficial, but is not necessary. We offer flexible hours, and you must have your own transportation. Food Safe level 1 is necessary for these positions. Our 30 day training wage for this position is $9 per hour. After 30 day the wage is $10 per hour. All successful applicants will have to feel comfortable signing an Employee Confidentiality Agreement.

Office Administration and Bookkeeping
We require a positive and motivate person with skills in Simply Accounting and Microsoft Office applications. You have a proven record of excellence and are well organized.  Work in the exciting world of organic and fair trade products. Flexible hours. Wages depend on experience. The successful applicants will have to feel comfortable signing an Employee Confidentiality Agreement.

2008 Farm & Garden Apprentice
Do you have experience with organic farming or gardening? Are you interested in sustainable agriculture, permaculture and biodynamics? Would you like to learn more and gain experience on an actual working permaculture farm in 2008?

Organic Fair is looking for the right person to work as our farm and garden apprentice starting in early spring 2008. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in organic agriculture, with a focus on learning and applying permaculture and biodynamic principles.

You must have your own transportation and accommodations and be willing to commit for the 2008 growing season from March / April until September. This position can be flexible in the spring but will demand full time work from May 1st until the end of August. Wage will depend on experience.

If you do not have Food Safe, there are 1 day courses available on a regular basis. You can contact the Vancouver Island Health Authority for the next available dates of the course. We can still interview you and determine if the position you would like is for you even if you do not have Food Safe.
